Product management
I’ve managed product at two early-stage companies: Alice.com, a direct-to-consumer commerce platform for CPG brands, where I ran customer service and product side by side, and PegEx, a platform for environmental services companies, where I was Director of Product Management. In both, the most valuable work happened before anything was built: figuring out what customers were actually trying to do.
What the work looked like
- Helped take two products from 0 to 1: a reverse auction marketplace, then the PegEx operations and compliance platform
- Owned strategy and delivery across compliance, regulatory reporting, integrations, and customer-facing workflows
- Instituted agile development practices and kept a prioritized backlog grounded in customer needs
- Integrated Stripe into the customer portal to handle invoicing and payment collection
- Worked with regulators and industry stakeholders as compliance requirements changed
- Aligned sales, product, and engineering around real customer use cases
By the numbers
At PegEx I was the sole product manager, working with a team that was at times as large as a dozen people. The platform we built came to serve thousands of customers through a network of more than 100 vendors.
